i've always wondered how I would/will deal with having my own kids, and knowing a decent amount about language acquisition... it seems like it would be hard to ignore all the things i've learned and just raise the damn kid "naturally"!

Semantic Compositions

I would guess that almost nobody in linguistics, psychology, or other cognition-related disciplines can pull off the "natural" approach because of all the influence of what they know. Maybe I'll try to make a bigger project out of it, and interview linguists who have children whenever I know my own are finally on the way.
