I typed in my name and hit "near me". It put me in Cambridge, Mass, gave me a page at UCSD for my top-ranked document, and suggested that I had misspelled my name. My actual web page at UMass Amherst is not even ranked, and nor are any other pages at UMass that mention my name. But if I just do a regular search on my name, my UMass web page is the top document. Weird.

An Even Newer Search Engine

Is MSN beta search really a new search engine or just their old engine being remodeled?

If it's new, why doesn't Micrasoft lease a new domain name for it?
