More on Hebrew, in Hebrew

SC has been aware for a while that our readership spans the globe ([one here, one there -- ed.]), but nevertheless the editorial staff was delighted to see that our recent discussion of editing Jewish prayers to deal with gender issues has attracted notice all the way over in Israel:

עברית שפה קשה: יחסים בין המינים בעברית

The author of "Hebrewlog" (check the URL, that's not SC being funny) is, of course, much more sophisticated in his knowledge of Hebrew than SC is, and you'll note in the comments that his interpretation of the literal translation suggests that your host was almost, but not exactly, right about what was going on. In any event, SC is grateful for the notice, and so up Hebrewlog goes on the list of blogs that have thoughtfully replied to posts here in other languages ([even though he couldn't tell you what any of their other writing says -- ed.]).
